Senior seated casually in an Arizona red-rock landscape

Class of 2027 · Northwest Valley

Senior portraits that feel natural—
even when being photographed doesn’t.

Personal, thoughtfully directed sessions throughout the Northwest Valley.

Senior sessions begin at $295.

Serving Peoria, Glendale, Surprise, North Phoenix, Sun City, and surrounding Northwest Valley communities.

A personal portrait experience

Your session, built around you.

Some seniors feel most like themselves in open desert light. Others are drawn to architecture, color, city textures, quiet natural settings, or something more dramatic after sunset.

There is no single look you need to fit.

Before the session, we will talk about the places, clothing, colors, interests, and overall feeling that reflect you best. I will help turn those ideas into a clear plan while leaving enough freedom for natural moments to happen.

The goal is not to recreate someone else’s senior photographs. It is to create your own.

The setting

From desert landscapes and open fields to urban color, architecture, indoor spaces, or personally meaningful locations.

The style

Relaxed, polished, artistic, dramatic—or varied enough to show several sides of your personality.

The details

Outfits, interests, meaningful objects, and small personal touches can make the finished gallery unmistakably yours.

Gentle, clear direction

You are not responsible for knowing what to do.

“I’m awkward in pictures.”

That is completely normal—and it is not a problem you need to solve before the session.

You will not be expected to arrive knowing where to stand, what to do with your hands, or how to create the right expression. I will give you clear, simple direction and make small adjustments throughout the session so you never feel abandoned in front of the camera.

Sometimes I will guide your posture, movement, hands, or where to look. At other moments, I may step back and allow something more natural to happen.

Feeling nervous at the beginning does not mean you will look nervous in the photographs.

A Signature possibility

From sunset to something more dramatic.

Some of the most distinctive portraits happen after the natural light begins to disappear.

A Senior Signature session can begin in warm evening light, continue through blue hour, and move into professionally lit portraits after dark.

By balancing flash with the existing environment, I can light you clearly while preserving the atmosphere, color, and depth of the scene around you.

The result is not simply a bright subject against a dark background. It is a portrait in which the person and setting still belong together.

After-dark work is always optional and depends on the location, timing, weather, and kind of photographs you want to create.

Before the session

You won’t have to plan it alone.

You do not need to arrive with a complete concept, a perfect wardrobe, or a list of poses. A few preferences are enough for us to begin.

01 · THE SETTING

Find the right environment.

We will consider locations that fit the mood you want, whether that means open desert, natural greenery, architecture, color, an indoor space, or somewhere personally meaningful.

02 · CLOTHING & DETAILS

Plan without over-styling.

I can help you think through outfits, colors, interests, and meaningful details that photograph well while still feeling genuinely yours.

03 · YOUR CONCERNS

Tell me what feels intimidating.

Posing, smiling, appearance, clothing, or simply being watched by a camera—knowing your concerns helps me guide the session in a way that feels comfortable.

You do not need to know exactly what you want. We only need enough to begin discovering it together.

During the session

The session has room to breathe.

The first few minutes are not about producing the most important photograph of the day. They are about helping you settle in, become familiar with my direction, and stop thinking quite so much about the camera.

I will tell you where to stand, offer simple guidance for your hands and posture, and make small adjustments as we work. Variety comes through changes in movement, expression, framing, background, and light—not by asking you to invent a brand-new pose every few seconds.

There is no expectation that every second must produce an image. We can pause, adjust clothing, change locations, check a detail, or simply reset.

The goal is not to perform perfectly. It is to become comfortable enough that the photographs begin to feel like you.

After the session

Finished with the same care used to create them.

After the session, I personally review the complete set and build a deliberate final collection.

CURATED

The strongest images only.

Test frames, blinks, repeated expressions, technical misses, and images that do not represent my best work are removed.

FINISHED

Individually edited.

Every selected photograph is carefully finished for color, contrast, exposure, crop, and thoughtful natural retouching where appropriate.

DELIVERED

A private Pixieset gallery.

Your high-resolution collection and personal printing rights are delivered within three weeks—though my internal goal is much sooner.

Your gallery should feel complete, intentional, and distinctly yours.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions.

The practical details should feel as clear as the creative experience.

What if I feel awkward in photographs?

That is completely normal. You will not be expected to direct yourself or arrive knowing how to pose. I will give clear, simple guidance and make small adjustments throughout the session.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. A parent, guardian, or trusted support person is welcome. For seniors under 18, a parent or legal guardian completes the booking paperwork and should remain available during the session.

Can we use two locations?

Senior Signature includes up to two reasonably close locations. Travel between them remains part of the scheduled 90 minutes. Essential takes place at one location.

Can I change outfits?

Essential includes one primary outfit with a quick second look when practical. Signature allows two or three outfits depending on the locations and complexity of the changes.

Do you photograph indoors?

Yes, when the setting is suitable and permission is available. Indoor and outdoor locations may also be combined during a Signature session when travel and timing allow.

Are location, permit, or admission fees included?

Any rental, permit, parking, or admission fee required by a location is separate from the session price. We will discuss and approve those costs before the session is reserved.

What happens if the weather is poor?

If weather would make the session unsafe or seriously compromise the promised work, we will reschedule without an additional fee. Weather and safety changes initiated by Through Glass transfer the retainer automatically.

How do I reserve a session?

A signed agreement and $100 booking retainer reserve your date. It is applied to the total price. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the session.

Is the booking retainer refundable?

The retainer is nonrefundable if the client cancels. With at least 48 hours’ notice, it may be transferred once to a rescheduled session. If Through Glass cannot provide the service and no suitable replacement date is available, it is refunded in full.

When will my photographs be ready?

Your finished gallery will be delivered within three weeks of the session through a private Pixieset gallery.

Will I receive unedited photographs?

No. Unedited images, repeated frames, test photographs, and images not selected for the final gallery are not delivered, displayed for selection, or offered separately.

Whenever you’re ready

Ready to begin?

You do not need to know exactly what your session should look like yet. Tell me a little about the senior, the styles or settings you are drawn to, and anything that makes being photographed feel intimidating.

From there, I will help you choose the right experience and begin shaping a session that feels relaxed, personal, and genuinely yours.
